Hi, Gumbo! It’s your brother, Achilles ['Killee']
Gumbo, remember running around in Momma [Meg] and Daddy’s [Max] front yard after it rained in Irving? It’s your brother Achilles ‘Killee’. I’m so glad I was able to hunt you down. We look so much alike. I’ve posted some photos my new owners [Mom and Dad] took of me in May and then a couple of me with them on July 4th. They are going to post more once they download from their camera. They are always snapping that darn thing in my face!
Hey, do you like to pay frisbee and catch ball? My Mom and Dad play that game with me constantly. I also like to chase crickets, birds, flies, tear up WalMart bags, and even bark at the cows and horses in the back of our house. They never bark back, though. Hey, let’s keep in touch and please visit me if you ever come to Dallas again. Later Gumbo! [Paw slap]

I like to play with a tennis ball, but we are having some issues with the Frisbee. I can’t seem to understand that I am supposed to bring the Frisbee back and I always want to run off to the back of the yard and chew on it.
My folks have to separate my sister and me when we play, otherwise I never get to the ball on time because she is so much bigger and faster, but we all know that won’t last long
Mom and sis are out of town right now, so it is just us boys at home and I am getting ALL of the attention and lovin’ that.
We like to run around in the back yard, chase tennis balls, butterflies (I love chasing those) and anything else that moves. I tried getting a plastic bag out of the trash and working on it, but that landed me in trouble so I gave up on that. My people are really funny about me getting things out of the trash or off of the counter, so I am extra careful not to let the temptation overcome me. Unfortunately when I do give in, it is written all over my face that I am up to something so I give myself away every time.
We get to the Metroplex pretty often, although I have not been back since I moved in with my people parents, but we will get there soon enough. I hear stories of a really cool dog park in Irving, so maybe some day we can get together and romp someday.
Our neighbors have cats and we really love chasing them. We only get to do it when one is foolish enough to come in to our backyard, but when they do we have FUN with them. The cats run for their lives and fly over the fence. Little do they know that we only want to play. We would never harm them, but we are dogs and we do have a reputation to uphold.

Dear Gumbo,
Please take the frisbee back to your Mom and Dad and ask them to throw it again. It’s really fun! It took me a few times to understand that they would throw it to me again and then I could run, run, run after it. It’s a lot more fun than chewing it up, believe me.
Absolutely, tell your parents to let us know next time they are coming to Dallas. We will definitely get together and play at the pupper park. I haven’t been to the one in Irving. Mommy and Daddy always take me to the one about a mile from here. Of course, it’s still scarey for me because all these dogs come sniffing and chasing after me. Even though I look ‘big’, I’m just a puppy. I still like going anyway. It’s good for my socializing skills.
I love chasing anything that flies, too - flies, skeeters, butterflies, birds, you name it! And my new thing is crickets — Not sure why they quit playing with me, but all of a sudden, after I have chased, pawed and nosed them for 10 minutes, they no longer move. What’s up with that? Oh well, I usually find another one…..then Mommy tells me to leave it alone. She doesn’t understand that boys like bugs……
Later Bro [paw slap],
Killee
